Cape Kaleidoscopes
"Conuscope V" Lavender Slumped Glass Kaleidoscope (Limited Edition #4/12)
This is number 4 of only 12 produced in this limited run. Inspired by the "Cornucopia" of classical mythology, the sculpted, cone-shaped body is crafted from kiln-slumped glass in a soft, ethereal lavender. The exterior is embellished with fused glass balls, adding tactile interest to its sleek silhouette.
Balanced perfectly for the hand, this scope is designed to be held and enjoyed. Inside, a tapered two-mirror system creates expansive 12-point mandalas with perfect symmetry. The free-turning dry object cell features handmade dry ampules, lampworked glass, and hand-cut dichroic pieces—all tumbling together with a distinct, crisp sound to produce vivid, never-to-be-repeated images.

Care and Use
Optical Safety: NEVER place a kaleidoscope in direct sunlight. The lenses and mirrors can concentrate light like a magnifying glass, creating a serious fire hazard.
Cleaning: Dust the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. To clean the viewing lens or object cell glass, use a clean microfiber cloth (like those used for eyeglasses).
Avoid Liquids: Do not use water, sprays, or chemical cleaners on the body. Moisture can damage the delicate solder lines on the stained glass scopes and tarnish the chrome on the Chesnik scope.
Handling: Always lift by the body or base, never by the object cell or spinning wheels.
