Details

Using stoneware clay formed over a mold, this piece is lighter than it appears. This heart sculpture is composed of three contrasting areas of textures and color glazes. The right edge features a textured floral pattern stamped into the clay. This area is glazed with earthy yellow. On the left edge of the heart is a large area of smooth, glossy, blue-green glaze. Running between these areas is a vertical band of textured white, yellow, and blue imprinted textured flower shapes with a ribbon. Harmonious earthy colors enhance the varieties of rich textures employed on this hollow heart form sculpture. It is wired and ready to hang indoors or outdoors.
