Details

This large, handblown glass vessel is a showcase of dense, metallic, patterned swirling colors. The undulating organic form is supported on a muted purple and green foot. The lip is marbled yellow-green. The exterior has yellow-green veining moving through blue and violet patterns. The interior is a blue-green. There are two green rippling elements on opposite sides of the exterior. Different minerals make different colors when doing hot-glass techniques: cobalt is blue, copper carbonate is green, and manganese dioxide is purple.
