Nesting dolls, with their intricately layered forms, represent the complexity and contradiction within our identities. This piece reflects the idea that we each hold many versions of ourselves, some hidden, some visible, all worth nurturing. Nesting Doll encourages self-embrace and care, drawing on the symbolism of protection, motherhood, and inner discovery through a luminous mosaic of stones. The work comprises hand selected stones, polished, cut and lain in a beautiful sterling base which is a laborious undertaking but lovingly created.

Materials

Argentium and sterling silver with petrified wood, phosphosiderite, and a checkerboard intarsia composed of howlite, lapis lazuli, amazonite, petrified wood, sodalite, fluorite, and chrysocolla

Care and Use

Avoid moisture and chemicals, wipe gently with a soft cloth, do not use ultrasonic cleaners, store separately to protect inlay.
