Bird in the Persimmon Tree Ceramic Cache Pot

Details

This very large hand-thrown clay pot features two symmetrical hand-built handles with rings on its sides. Designed as an “over pot” for a plant, it is exquisitely hand-painted using beautiful, flowing brush strokes and delicate color glazes. Naturalistic persimmons, lush foliage, and a small bird hiding among the branches cover the exterior. 14K gold accents are on the base of the pot, highlighting the foliage, and the rings in the side handles. The interior is a bright, glossy tangerine glaze with a stenciled vine motif. The glazing techniques are elegant and technically superb.

Care and Use

Hand wash with mild soap and avoid abrasive scrubbers to protect the painted and gold details. Use a liner to protect the interior surface if planting live plants.
