Astro Boy
Details
A playful nod to the video and arcade era, Astro Boy is a one-of-a-kind mixed media sculpture by artist Bob Stern. At the center of the figure is a vintage Japanese pachinko machine, surrounded by architectural salvage, antique hardware, and found objects dating from the mid-1800s through the 1960s. Stern transforms these unexpected pieces into a colorful, character-filled sculpture that celebrates nostalgia, ingenuity, and the art of repurposing.
