Details

Artist William Fink creates this inventive sculpture using a composition doll head, arms, and legs assembled with an antique sugar and creamer set as the body. The figure’s skirt is crafted from antique silver-plated spoon handles. The headpiece is made with the bowls of silver-plated hotel spoons, formed into flower petals, then a bouquet. Each component is a collected vintage item that is creatively assembled using these items from early mass commercial production and packaging. Antique and vintage commercial and functional items are repurposed by combining the elements as a figurative folk art style sculpture.
